My hubby wanted Bat to have a companion. Cats live longer and healthier with another companion. I was initially not keen. I mean one cat is enough. The cleaning my god. But deep down inside me I don't want to share Bat. Hehe...Yes I might sound selfish or insane. Bat is tooo adorable!!!
So after much persuasion, me n my hubby went to SPCA. We went in the morning to look at kittens. None of the kittens connect with us. They are all cute but just doesn't have that connection. So we went back to PJ to grab a bite. Not satisfied my hubby drove back to SPCA again. When we were there this Indian family came in with a beautiful kitten. Apparently they found this kitten and wanted to keep her. But their existing cat is too territorial. So they have no choice but to leave the poor kitten there. The lady Rose who works in SPCA took the kitten and put it in the cage. In swift second I went to the cage and took the kitten out.
The moment I put her in my arms and looked into her eyes. I fell in love instantly. Her fur is soft and nice. Beautiful green eyes and her face is so sweet. Then I handed her to my hubby and he fell in love with her. Without second thoughts we adopted her.
Let me introduce you to Tiger.

It has been awhile
Just checked that my last post was in December 2010! It has been ages. I have been busy with work and also with my 2 cats. Yes I have cats. Never knew I would be a cat person.
It all started with my hubby's brother, he adopted a cat from SPCA. Then his gf bought a Persian cat. My hubby thought it would be a good idea to have a pet too. Initially I was kinda reluctant because I'm a dog person. Never in my life would I think of having cats as pets. Never really like cats. What made me change my mind was when I played with my hubby's bro's gf's cat. Her cat is sooo adorable. Then I thought ok it would not be a bad idea after all. So we went to SPCA and Paws to look for a cat. We both want an active and playful cat. Not the type that just sit around all day. Did some research and found out that Siamese cat is a dog like cat. They are playful and smart. Some adult Siamese cats even knows how to open doors! One bad thing about Siamese cats is that they are very vocal. They will meow until they get what they want. Persian cats are quite slow and not as playful in comparative.
So we have decided on the breed. Next is our mission to look for a Siamese cat to adopt. Unfortunately both SPCA and Paws do not have any Siamese. So I went on to petfinders to look for. I stumbled upon this beautiful Siamese mixed kitten. It caught my eye. Me being the kiasu person quickly called and fixed an appointment on the same day to adopt the cat.
And then there is Bat....
Bat was a tiny fella when we brought him home. Scared, skinny and hungry. He is very vocal. He meowed the whole night on the first night. Thank god it only took him one night to get used to us. He is very active and playful. A very naughty cat indeed. I personally feel he thinks he is a dog. He always sticks his tongue out, chase his own tail and he likes to lick. Love him very much. He has grown into a very good looking cat now. :) Here are some of Bat's pic when he was young and some of him now.
In my next post, it would be on our adventure in looking for the 2nd cat.

Cameron Highland - Second Day Afternoon
After the scary drive down from BOH plantation, we stopped by Butterfly Farm. Most of the farms are free admission. But Butterfly Farm is not. The entrance fee for adult is RM5. The farm is quite small compared to the one in KL and there are not much to see. If you ask me its not worth paying 5 bucks to go in. But I did manage to snap a few pics.
Then we head on to Cactus Valley. I have not seen so many cactus in my life. All sorts of cactus. Big, small and funky looking ones. While I was taking picture, I was trying hard not to knock into some of the cactus. I know how painful it would be when you accidentally touched one.
After Cactus Valley, we stopped by Big Red Strawberry Farm. This place is huge compared to the one I went on my first day. What's good about this is you can pluck your own strawberry. Of course it is not free. For 25 gram it costs RM6 and 1 kg is RM12. We choose the 25 gram. It is fun plucking your own strawberry. We went around the farm and managed to pluck big red strawberries. It feels like we were in Amazing Race hunting for big red strawberries as fast as we can. Unfortunately, the strawberries that we plucked are not sweet. The ones that I bought for my family is sweeter.
Outside the Strawberry Farm, they sell cactus as well. The weird thing is that I have been thinking about getting some cactus when I was at the Cactus Farm. But didn't get it there. I actually bought 8 small cactus together with 2 stands in Strawberry Farm. Haha..
After all the scary driving up and down the hill and plucking strawberries. We went to our hotel. Remember in my previous post I mentioned that I booked a hotel room in 2 different hotels? On the second day we stayed at Casa Dela Rosa. The room that we had is small but I like the look of the hotel. Very cottage like. Not to mention that their breakfast is actually quite good compared to Century Pines.
I really enjoyed my stay in Cameron Highland. If you love strawberries and vegetables its a good place to go. I ate so much salad there. The vegetables are so fresh! And I love the weather. The only time that I sweat was plucking strawberries. Other than that, the weather is nice and breezy. I wouldn't mind going there again. My hubby agrees with me on that as well.
