All business

It has been awhile since I have updated my blog. Well...I have been busy setting up an online bussiness. :D I have been thinking about setting up an online bussiness selling accessories for a very long time. Believe me, the thinking process was very loooong. First, I was afraid of rejection plus I need to be financially stable to be able to sustain the business. Selling is not easy especially when it comes to fashion. It is so competitive! You walk into a mall left right centre there are boutiques selling nice things which are cheap. Not only that, online selling is a big thing. Just google accesorries and there will be thousands of sites selling it online. Plus, you need to be up-to-date and know the market, to see what is in trend now.

Why accessories you might ask. I am crazy over accessories. So much so I think it could be an addiction. I will keep buying hairbands, earrings, necklace and hair clips eventhough I might not wear it. When I see a cute hair clip, my urge of buying it is sooo unbearable.

Finally, I have gathered up my courage and ordered a few pieces of nice headbands and accessories. Yes just a few pieces that I have ordered. I was thinking of playing it safe and also try it out first. Who knows it might succeed or it might not.

First, you have to think of a name. The name of my blog is Eve's Dresser. I figured, every girl has a dresser to store their make-ups and accessories. For me, I dont have a dresser persay, but I do have one particular space in my wardrobe where I store all my girlie stuff in.

So finally I got my site up and walla...I made sales on the same day I posted my blog up on to my Facebook. Of course, my first customer is my good friend Cathryn. Then later on, I made a few more sales and I am happy to say that as at today, I have sold all my headbands. Oh and I have 36 members in Eve's Dresser group on Facebook.

Since I have sold most of my accessories, I have decided to restock and also expand it to bags. Last Saturday, my sister and I went to look for stocks. Again, not the risk taker, I bought 5 designs only. After that I went home and took some photos of the bags (with the help of my elder bro who is a pro in product shoot) and posted it up onto my blog and Facebook page.

Online selling is tricky. I am still very new to blogging and am not sure how to do it. The most that I can think of is promoting it through FB, which works for me so far. Posting pictures of the products up on my blog is not enough. How do I attract people to come to my blog and look at my products? Right now, what I could think of is to keep reposting my products and also come up with some sort of theme or concept for each bag/accessories. Here are some of the "theme" if you like, that I have created which I post on my blog and Facebook. You can also check more of the items out at http://www.evesdresser.blogspot.com/.
